SINGLE ORIGIN GROUND COFFEE
Single origin refers to the origin of the coffee. The term can be used if the coffee beans come from the same growing region - from the same producer and from the same harvest - and if only one variety is used. This is why we also speak of single-origin coffees. Single origin coffees have become increasingly popular in recent years because they are considered specialty coffees with a particularly deep flavor. The flavors differ from country of origin to country of origin. This is because they are influenced by the prevailing climatic conditions. A nutty, chocolatey note is characteristic of South American growing regions such as Brazil and Colombia, Kenyan specialty coffees taste more sweet and coffee from Ethiopia is known for its floral, fruity aroma.
